An economically priced, home brand feta-style vegan cheese of the Albert Heijn supermarket. It compares well against similarly manufactured branded options.

Scotland. Not exactly a region known for its coconuts or coconut oil. However, this vegan creamery located on the Scottish Isle of Bute knows how to use it to make a crumbly and relatively tangy feta alternative. So far, it is one of the better tasting feta alternatives we have reviewed.

MozzaVella is advertised as the "the first vegan mozzarella ball in brine on the market". The light, acidic taste reminded us more of yoghurt than mozzarella.

Mozzarella-alternative that comes packaged in the shape of a sausage. Not only looks are different to a typical mozzarella, also the taste didn't remind us of mozzarella.

It is a beautiful package: the bright red box, the cup with a mozzarella-shaped ball in brine. While the looks are great, the taste and mouthfeel however did not meet the created expectation for us.

Soyananda vegan alternative for greek organic cheese is made primarily from soft tofu with lactic ferments. In our view, the outcome is softer than we would expect for a feta and the taste more like yoghurt than feta.

The Violife Greek White is a white vegan cheese produced in Greece, so the name is definitely fitting. For a feta alternative, the texture and taste is in our view a bit too much on the salty butter side and misses the spicy tanginess of firm feta cheese.

A "food preparation based on almond product" and "shepherd's delight" are among the somewhat cryptical descriptions of this vegan cheese. However, it is a recognisable feta-style vegan cheese with low-carb, low fat and a light almond taste from Simply-V in southern Germany.

It comes in a camembert-sized box. On the product picture it looks like a camembert. It says it has camembert flavour. Once on our review cheese platter though, we struggled to find the camembert in its look, mouthfeel and taste.
