The prototype of Simply Blue inspired the creation of Nutty Artisan Foods. It looks interesting with its green bloomy rind and the taste is sharply mushroomy, certainly of interest for lovers of strong blue cheese.

From a small vegan cheese maker in southernmost Spain come this goat cheese alternative. While it does not have the sharp goat cheese taste, we appreciate the use of few ingredients and mild mushroomy taste.

Fermè is a cashew-based fermentino. This Black Pepper type conveys a lively taste of freshly milled black pepper. We think a nice addition to a cheese platter.

Mozzarella-alternative that comes packaged in the shape of a sausage. Not only looks are different to a typical mozzarella, also the taste didn't remind us of mozzarella.

It is a beautiful package: the bright red box, the cup with a mozzarella-shaped ball in brine. While the looks are great, the taste and mouthfeel however did not meet the created expectation for us.

A special flavour fermentino, sweet and sour due to the sweetness of the cranberries and acidity of the lactic acid, topped with the taste of the pecan nuts.

After we tried 'Truffled' from Quevana, we also enjoyed 'Smoked'. Both vegan cheeses are made with low processing of organic cashew nuts, resulting in relatively affordable, healthy and tasty vegan cheeses.

From a small vegan cheesery in Segovia, Spain, comes this semi-cured, truffled vegan cheese. We enjoyed the truffle taste, on a base of fermented organic cashew nuts that has cured some 6-8 weeks.

Jean-Jacques is the orange washed-rind looking vegan cheese of Jay & Joy. This is not a smelly feet cheese in case you are looking for one. Rather, the taste has principally mushroomy and earthy vegetable notes.
