A wedge out of a Dutch-style cheese wheel, one out of a range with different tastes, here herbs & garlic. The looks are good, and Max & Bien’s website states “the tastiest alternative to cheese”. Does it live up to this promise for us?

Jean-Jacques is the orange washed-rind looking vegan cheese of Jay & Joy. This is not a smelly feet cheese in case you are looking for one. Rather, the taste has principally mushroomy and earthy vegetable notes.

A goat cheese alternative, shaped in the traditional log form. Produced by expert vegan-alternative cheese makers Jay & Joy from France, based on traditional cheese-making techniques, with limited ingredients and a pleasant, mild taste.

Cicioni is ‘the original fermentino’, the first product of this type, which is made exclusively of almonds, cashew, water and salt. High in protein, low in saturated fatty acids.

Based on shea and almonds as main ingredients, Soft White is a camembert-like vegan cheese with a light bloomy rind and fatty texture similar to camembert, but a taste that is a bit too bland for us.

Our first five-star review, the masterpiece in the Jay & Joy range so far. The texture is light and fluffy, the taste a blend of tangy, earthy vegetable and mushroomy. A highlight on any vegan cheese platter.

A healthy vegan alternative to dairy cheese with few ingredients, based on the fermentation of cashews. We liked the whole package of looks, texture and taste.

Camelia is a fermentino with a bloomy rind that gives it a camembert-like look and a nice mushroomy, cheesy taste.
